Webcam OV519 and Skype

Tested on Fedora 10.

lsusb

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05a9:8519 OmniVision Technologies, Inc. OV519 Webcam

sudo yum install libv4l skype -y

sudo vi /usr/local/bin/webcamSkype

Add these 2 lines below:

#!/bin/bash
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype

sudo chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/webcamSkype

Then run it

/usr/local/bin/webcamSkype

Got to Main Menu/Options (or Ctl O)

Select "Video Devices" then "Select webcam" . Mine was shown as USB camera.

Click Test on the black box and viola!
