Ensim Pro on RHEL4

Previous WorkA local company approached Discover Linux to sort out their server needs. The server hadn't been hardened for the internet and had been compromised. The server was checked over and locked down. Installed Ensim Pro control panel. Linux is much more secure as it isn't vulnerable to Windows viruses, but it still needs to be configured correctly to prevent inappropriate access and activity.

Portsmouth College Samba Server

Previous WorkDiscover Linux helped out with the Samba Server enhancement from Red Hat 9 to Fedora Core 3. This involved showing how to retain data of non-root disks and disable unrequired services. The college run Microsoft PCs and Linux servers, including Censornet web filtering software (Open Source). Brian Chivers was very pleased with the service and has recommended our services to their IT supplier.

Previous WorkDiscover Linux created and supports http://silverwing.org using all Open Source Software (Linux, Apache, MySQL database, Geeklog content management system, Gallery and phpBB webforum). Recently tested the phpbbbridge integration of Geeklog and phpBB offline by exporting the SQL database and recreating it on another server. Once proven ok, main site was updated after backing up the data and configuration files.
